Mindray North America, a division of Chinese medical device maker Mindray, has teamed up with TeleRay, a virtual care company specialised in medical imaging and data sharing, to optimise ultrasound delivery and improve results.
Mindray develops, manufactures, and supplies medical device solutions, including patient monitoring, anaesthesia, and ultrasound technologies used in healthcare facilities.
TeleRay is a virtual care telehealth platform that offers a scalable and user-friendly healthcare communications platform, specifically for radiology.
Their collaboration is anticipated to advance the clinicians’ access to ultrasound imaging on Mindray’s Resona 7 Ultrasound System and Resona I9 Ultrasound System.
It aims to address the needs of radiology, vascular, women’s health, paediatric, and shared service imaging applications, said Mindray North America.
Mindray North America radiology ultrasound marketing manager Michelle Carter said: “Our partnership with TeleRay marks a significant advancement for our Resona Ultrasound Systems.
“With the ability for physicians to guide sonographers in real-time, we are enhancing operational efficiency, improving patient convenience, and elevating clinical outcomes.”
The partnership between Mindray and TeleRay will integrate medical image and patient information distribution software with the most advanced telehealth technology.
It will combine advanced features designed to enhance medical imaging and data security.
TeleRay’s HIPAA-compliant platform easily integrates with Mindray’s Resona Systems, delivering secure, real-time streaming of ultrasound images.
It provides a viewer with data masking features, to ensure quality control and patient anonymisation, enhancing privacy while maintaining the industry standards.
TeleRay’s Live solution requires no server installation, enabling a user-friendly, FDA-approved web-based viewer that does not require any app downloads.
TeleRay CEO Tim Kelley said: “This partnership gives Mindray customers an opportunity to streamline their workflow and seamlessly connect to specialists and other sonographers for better outcomes without delays.
“The healthcare environment is stressed, and virtual solutions with useful tools at a lower cost will solve many problems.”
