GE HealthCare has introduced enhanced Venue ultrasound systems and a new point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) solution, Venue Sprint.
Venue Sprint is a portable ultrasound device that features Venue software and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools.
The device is designed to deliver superior image quality and wireless probe capability, compatible with Vscan Air handheld ultrasound systems.
Nasdaq-listed GE HealthCare said that other Venue family ultrasound systems will now also offer wireless probe connectivity.
Other improvements include advanced clinical tools and the latest ViewPoint 6 updates to boost efficiency and optimise workflow.
Venue Sprint features wireless Vscan Air dual probes, allowing clinicians to provide care in various settings, including critical care, emergency medicine, and medical transport.
The system shares a common platform with other Venue systems, simplifying the learning process for users.
Additionally, Venue Sprint includes AI-enabled resources and documentation tools that streamline manual tasks, ensuring consistency across the Venue family.
Other Venue systems will now offer optional integration with wireless Vscan Air dual-probes, and all Venue systems can access Caption Guidance. This will provide step-by-step on-screen help for capturing cardiac ultrasound images.
In October 2023, GE HealthCare launched Venue Family with Caption Guidance technology.
Venue ultrasound systems also feature clinical tools to assist users at different experience levels.
These tools include the Bladder Volume Tool which offers reference images to help clinicians quickly calculate bladder volume.
The Auto Volume Flow tool automatically measures arterial flow volume in real time.
Venue Coach MSK provides reference images, anatomy markups, and video tutorials to assist users in obtaining necessary scans.
ViewPoint 6 ultrasound reporting software is now available on Venue Sprint. It features Direct Send to enable clinicians to review, update, and finalise reports.
GE HealthCare ultrasound chief digital officer and point-of-care ultrasound general manager Karley Yoder said: “The Venue Sprint, and new enhancements to the Venue family, are designed to empower clinicians to deliver care wherever it is needed with the simplicity, flexibility and support they require to make confident clinical decisions.”
The Venue family, including Venue Sprint, is available in the US and will launch in several countries worldwide this year.
