GE HealthCare has introduced the easy-to-use, easy-to-learn, easy-to-diagnose Versana Premier multi-purpose ultrasound system.

Versana Premier, a new addition to the Versana ultrasound family, is said to be a reliable and affordable ultrasound system.

The system features automation and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to boost productivity and improve workflow.

Its clinical features are designed to improve efficiency and accuracy, providing a seamless user experience for healthcare professionals.

Designed for diverse clinical specialities and care areas, the Versana Premier meets the needs of general practice, OBGYN, musculoskeletal (MSK), and cardiology.

GE HealthCare ultrasound and image guided therapies president and CEO Phil Rackliffe said: “The rising demand for imaging has driven the increasing use of ultrasound in primary care.

“Ultrasound is emerging as a key tool in these clinical settings, enabling accelerated diagnoses and improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.

“Versana Premier is equipped with advanced automated workflow and productivity tools, including educational resources, that can support these clinicians who are often the frontline of disease identification and diagnosis for their patients.”

The Versana Premier features advanced, intuitive tools that empower clinicians to provide care and make accurate diagnoses easily.

Its VisionBoost Architecture and probes, including XDclear technology, ensure superior image quality and speed. It also has display technology and a new imaging engine.

GE HealthCare said users can optimise images in real-time with Whizz, which continuously enhances imaging during scans. The Whizz Color Flow feature allows for colour display adjustments.

For OBGYN specialists, imaging tools like Whizz RenderLive and V-Live 2.0 enable 3D/4D imaging, making it easier to monitor foetal development.

The Versana Premier features enhanced ergonomics, automated tools, service and support for simplified diagnostics and significant time savings.

The Nasdaq-listed medical technology company claimed clinicians can achieve up to 38% faster workflows with the system’s Whizz clinical features.

In addition, the AI-powered Whizz Label automates the labelling of key organs, and the new Whizz Follicle tool assists with volume calculations and measurements.

Versana Premier is available in key countries worldwide. In the US, it has received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration and will begin commercial shipments later this month.

Last month, the medical technology firm launched a tablet-based Venue Sprint POCUS device.
