Advanced biosensing technology company B-Secur has entered into a partnership with Galen Data to advance next-generation cardiac health monitoring.

Galen Data provides a software platform for medical device-to-cloud connectivity and data analysis.

Its partnership with B-Secur is intended to offer improved cardiac health monitoring capabilities to cardiac device manufacturers.

The partnership will combine Galen Data’s secure, compliant medical device cloud platform with the HeartKey Technology of B-Secur.

HeartKey is a suite of electrocardiogram (ECG) algorithms and analytics, which have obtained clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Its integration with Galen Data’s platform empowers medical device firms to reduce their software development timeline, costs, and operational risks.

The collaboration is aimed at providing precise, real-time monitoring, seamless integration with cloud services, sturdy data management, and integration with electronic health records.

Galen Data chief operating officer Alex Condon said: “Galen Data and B-Secur share a vision of enhancing cardiac care through innovative technology.

“By combining our strengths, we are well-positioned to deliver a unique solution that not only meets the demands of cardiac device companies looking to leverage their data quickly and affordably but also showcases an end-to-end solution that truly highlights the potential of cloud-based medical device data platforms.

“This partnership is a perfect fit, enabling us to provide cardiac device manufacturers with unparalleled insights and capabilities right out of the box.”

Galen Data assists companies in centralising their medical device data and in establishing manufacturer/physician/patient portals to access that data.

The company also offers widgets for data visualisation, creating notifications based on that data, and implementing artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) algorithms.

B-Secur facilitates precise ECG signal monitoring for early detection of cardiovascular disease for both on-device and cloud applications.

The firm’s signal processing delivers usable, medical-grade ECG data for rapid and more assured diagnosis, treatment, and management.

B-Secur chief commercial officer Brian Pitstick said: “With the global cardiac monitoring market expected to reach $16bn by 2030, our partnership with Galen Data represents a timely and exciting leap forward in cardiac care technology solutions, merging clinical grade ECG algorithms with secure cloud connectivity to empower manufacturers and revolutionise patient monitoring.”
