UK-based respiratory monitoring solutions provider Vitalograph has agreed to acquire its long-term partner Morgan Scientific to strengthen its commercial footprint in the US.
Morgan Scientific is a Massachusetts-based medical equipment manufacturer specialising in customer-facing software for advanced PFT systems.
Its lead product, ComPAS2, is an advanced, customer-driven software that powers Vitalograph’s portfolio of advanced PFT solutions, dubbed VitaloPFT Series.
Also, Morgan Scientific is a distributor of Vitalograph’s pulmonary function testing solutions in the US.
Vitalograph said the proposed acquisition will help the company meet growing global demand for its solutions, particularly in advanced pulmonary function testing solutions.
Vitalograph CEO Frank Keane said: “We have a long and successful relationship with Morgan Scientific. This agreement is the natural progression for both companies as our combined expertise allows us to focus on delivering the best possible diagnostic solutions that can enable a better understanding of lung health.”

According to Morgan Scientific, ComPAS2 is enterprise software that offers unique PFT adaptability and easy control with superior concierge-style support.
The software combines a perfectly redesigned user interface with advanced processing to handle the data integration needs, along with the flexibility to navigate complex IT environments.
Vitalograph said that the potential acquisition of Morgan Scientific is an important step in developing a global respiratory diagnostics business.
Also, the acquisition will support its goal of providing comprehensive testing solutions to improve respiratory healthcare, said the respiratory devices maker.
